ShelterCare needs caring, responsible individuals with a passion for helping people to work in our important on-call, part-time positions. The Counselor/Advocate I works as part of a treatment team, guiding and supervising residents through their daily schedule in a mental health facility. Must be personable, flexible, responsible, and enjoy working in a variety of facilities. This is a great way to start a career in the social services field.

Relief staff are on-call personnel who do not have set schedules. They fill shifts left open by staff who call in sick, are on vacation, etc., which means the program needs for Relief are always fluctuating. It's a great way to exercise more control over your work schedule and the number of hours you accept on a weekly basis. Relief staff can work up to 30 hours a week.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalency and computer proficiency. Experience in mental health preferred. Must pass background check and have valid driver's license to drive agency vehicles. On-call/as needed for day, swing, or night shifts which can include weekdays and/or weekends. $10.75/hr.

It is easy to apply online at www.sheltercare.org.
