Help ShelterCare fight homelessness by providing outreach services to households in the community and case management services to clients at risk of becoming homeless. The Case Manager works with clients to overcome barriers to housing stability; assesses needs; develops action plans; coaches skills development; and follows through with goals. Other duties include screening and assessment of applicants; performing intakes and inspections; advocating with landlords, community organizations, and agencies; and assessing domestic violence and abuse issues. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals who have experienced homelessness; strong verbal and written skills; understanding of the issues facing low-income households; counseling experience; crisis intervention skills; and the ability to help clients achieve independence and increased self-sufficiency. Must be a strong supporter of the ShelterCare mission and values and able to treat clients with respect.

This position requires BA/BS in a behavioral science and/or a minimum of three years' case management experience, preferably with individuals with a history of homelessness. Must pass a DHS background check, possess a current driver's license, and qualify to drive agency vehicles. This position will occasionally require the use of a personal vehicle.

Full time, Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. $14.28/hr. plus a competitive benefits package.
