ShelterCare has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced health or social services administratorwho has a passionate commitment to providing quality mental health care in a supported housing environment. The Program Administrator will be a visionary leader responsible for building and shaping a recently reorganized program that serves more than 150 individuals diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness and living independently in the cities of Eugene and Springfield, Oregon. In this role, the Program Administrator will ensure that the treatment teams provide integrated care, utilize best practices, and deliver services in an efficient but effective manner. As chief innovator, he or she will look beyond current systems to identify creative solutions and develop new processes that successfully address ongoing challenges.

Major responsibilities include:

    • Leadership: Lead staff in designing an effective system for service delivery, articulate the shared vision for the program, and follow through to ensure full implementation.
      • Administration: Develop/manage an annual budget, establish and monitor expectations for quality care,  ensure compliance with contractual and Oregon Administrative Regulatory  requirements.
      • Staff Supervision: Hire, supervise, and mentor staff, creating a positive, respectful, and inspiring workplace that fulfills the career development needs of individual employees.
      • Clinical Supervision: Collaborating with the Clinical Director and Lead Therapists, ensure a consistent model of care for all clients; review client charts to ensure quality care and compliance with clinical standards.
      • Community Liaison: Build and maintain a network with funders, referring and allied agencies, and community leaders, advocating on behalf of ShelterCare and the program.

Candidates must have an M.A./M.S. degree in counseling, social work, or related field, plus a minimum of four years' experience in health or social service program administration. Mental health knowledge and clinical supervision experience is highly desirable. Applicants must possess a current driver's license, qualify to drive agency vehicles, and pass a DHS background check.

This is a full-time, exempt position. M-F, 8am - 5pm. $55,000 (DOE) annual salary. Compensation includes a competitive benefits package.
