ShelterCare needs a caring and collaborative individual to work as a key member of our Behavioral Health Services program, providing services to adults with mental health disabilities who are living independently in the community. The Peer Support Specialist will work as part of a multidisciplinary services team, facilitating support groups, providing individual support aimed at enhancing mental health recover and stability, and assisting with crisis intervention.

Candidates must possess or qualify for the Peer Support Specialist credential. This position requires experience as a mental health consumer, or with a family member who has received mental health services, and the ability to use these experiences to support others in recovery. Must have a valid driver's license, qualify to drive agency vehicles, and pass a DHS background check. Full-time, 40 hrs./week; M - F. 8:30am - 5:00pm,  $14.28/hr.
