ShelterCare's Garden Place Program is looking for an experienced clinician who is seeking a leadership opportunity. Garden Place Program is undergoing an exciting transition in its program focus and is now a medically-enhanced residential treatment facility that supports up to 12 adults with severe and persistent mental illness in a home-like environment A successful candidate for the Clinical Lead will demonstrate the ability to utilize effective communication skills to create and maintain interpersonal relationships with staff and individuals living at the facility and skills to successfully work independently.
This person also supports the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions; keep accurate clinical documentation; and be part of a weekly on-call rotation for the program.
Job Duties also include (but aren't limited to):
  • Being responsible for the clinical direction and work collaboratively with Program Administrator to ensure clinical vision is in line with program and agency values.Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments; developing treatment plans; creating and implementing individual and group interventions that are clinically relevant, person-centered and empirically supported
  • Documenting services in an electronic clinical record
  • Actively participating in quality assurance and treatment plan evaluation
  • Leading the admissions and discharge processes for resident applicants.Providing clinical leadership and supervision to program staff
  • Providing performance supervision for staff as assigned
Candidates must have a master's degree in a behavioral science and be eligible for certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (License preferred but not required) and have a minimum of three years' experience in behavioral health. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Experience working with individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness preferred.
All candidates must possess excellent computer skills and a valid driver's license. They must have a valid driver license, be eligible to drive agency vehicles, and successfully pass a DHS background check.   
This position is exempt from overtime. Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, hours are flexible/to be determined. Salary is $21.71 hourly equivalent (DOE).
