ShelterCare's Behavioral Health program is looking for a Case Manager (QMHA)/Employment Specialist to provide mental health services to assist clients living a more independent and enriched life.  BH clients are adults diagnosed with a psychiatric disability and have a diverse set of needs.  The BH team is based in ShelterCare's administration building and is made up of administrators and clinicians working together to support each other and clients in the community.

the Case Manager (QMHA) / Employment Specialist will go out to businesses and social service providers in the community, he or she will develop trusting relationships that result in appropriate but meaningful job opportunities.  Once the work starts, the position will provide coaching and support that meets the client's needs and helps them succeed in the workplace.  They must be outstanding communicators, have strong sales and relationship-building skills, and be committed to the idea that employment can improve the life of a person struggling with mental illness

You would work closely with a care team (Therapist, Support Worker and Peer Support Specialist) to address a variety of mental health needs. A monthly QMHA cohort, weekly care team meetings along with agency trainings are a few of the opportunities you'll have to expand your knowledge and support long-term professional growth. 

This is a great opportunity to learn and implement a diverse set of therapeutic techniques such as DBT, CBT, MI and trauma-informed care. 

The Case Manger (QMHA)/employment specialist will give a variety of services, including such things as:

- Provide Community based mental health treatment and support services. 

- Navigate relationships between clients and landlords- Perform individual and group skills training, case-management and crisis intervention.  - Document clinical work on electronic record software.  

- Other duties as assigned

This job requires a bachelor's degree in a human services-related field and experience working with individuals with a severe mental health diagnosis. Work experience in employment services as well as sales and marketing preferred. Candidates must have a current driver's license, be approved to drive agency vehicles, and pass a DHS background check.

Full time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. $14.28/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; 10 paid holidays; generous paid time off accrual; and employee assistance program.
